- Overall responsibility for Community Sport Leader Award Courses in Scotland

- Appoints Area coach renewal paned chairpersons
- Advises and Support Area Coach renewal panels
- Monitors and Approve expenditure from coaching bank account
- Liaises with NCO (Education)
- Provides up to date information to tutors and assessors

- Provides coach development opportunities
- Assists coaches in achieving CPD targets
- Organises the regional coaching conference

RCO Performance - Position vacant
If you think you can take on the role, please get in touch!
- Assist RCOs in organising Area archer development training
- Attend talent assessment sessions within each SAA area
- Maintain the highest level of technical proficiency in archery specific discipline and generally accepted non-specific coaching and sports science skills
- Develop trained assistant coaches
- Promote and enhance the image of competitive archery in Scotland
- Raise the level of Scottish archery to a highly competitive international standard.
- Establish, co-ordinate, and conduct training programs
- Attend Coach seminars and AGM and give presentations
- Develop assistant squad and personal coaches’ knowledge to achieve high performance from the athletes
- Must be able to provide evidence of level of previous archers coached
- Experience in coaching elite-level athletes and knowledge of the technical, physiological and psychological needs of elite-level athletes in archery.
- Ability to instruct elite archers, work with boards and committees and effectively communicate with large groups
- Financial management and planning management skills required

- Appoints Tutors/Assessors
- Forwards course registrations to GNAS with fees
- Invoices clients for courses
- Receives and bank fees
- Authorises and pay leader course expenses.
- Pays expenses authorised by RCO (Education)
- Monitors Bank account
- Maintains leader course records
