2024 Home Nations Cup Outdoors Team Announcement

5 Jul 2024

Following the recent selection process, we are proud to announce our Scotland squad for the upcoming Home Nations Cup Outdoor Championships being held at New Century Bowmen near Macclesfield on 17th & 18th August. With over 40 applications for the places available, this was a highly competitive process and has yielded a team that blends youth and experience with a number of new Saltires earning their first cap.

The squad comprises 3 archers and a reserve in each of 6 categories, with the Saltires team taking on England, Wales and a mixed Home Nations team, which will be made up from unused reserves. All archers will have an equal shot at individual and team medals, with the trophy awarded to the Nation gaining most points in the Head-to-Head competitions.

Spectators are very welcome to attend and cheering for the Saltires is strongly encouraged.

Huge congratulations to the team, and massive thanks to all those that submitted scores.

As part of increased transparency on selection, Lowest Qualifying Score (LQS) is indicated in each category so that budding Saltires can see what it took to qualify this time.

There will be another chance to become a Saltire in the Autumn as we put together a representative for the Home Nations Indoor Championship, which will be held during the National Indoor Championships at the NAEC Stoneleigh on 4th-5th December. This process will be based on WA18 scores accumulated during 2024.
