Expanding inclusive sports opportunities in local schools and communities across Falkirk

13 Nov 2025

Couple of weeks ago, our Communities & Workforce Development Officer, Robert Clark successfully delivered Soft Archery Leaders Award training to Falkirk Active Schools Coordinators and primary school teachers.

Among the participants was Joe, who is visually impaired and kindly brought along simulation glasses to help the group better understand the challenges he faces in everyday life.

These dedicated professionals play a vital role in bringing a wide range of sports—now including Soft Archery—to young people across local primary schools and community groups.

They also lead after-school clubs, where they’ll put their new skills into practice to inspire and develop the next generation of young leaders.

A thank you to Lisa Male from Active Schools Falkirk team for arranging the course.
