Volunteering

Volunteers are the life blood of sports clubs and it is vital that they are supported, recognised and valued.

Volunteering can be a rewarding activity which helps you to meet new people and take on new challenges through a variety of different roles.

Why Volunteer?

There are many reasons to volunteer in sport. Volunteers help to make sport happen and assist in shaping the next generation of sporting stars. Through volunteering, you can give back - without people like you, sport simply would not happen!

There are various volunteer roles and opportunities out there to cater to your interests, skillset, and time commitments. As well as this, everyone will get something different out of volunteering

Becoming a volunteer

This short course covers all the basics of how to become a sport volunteer and contains useful information for those new to sport volunteering.

​

​This is an e-learning course, it will be delivered through self-paced online learning and is designed for you to dip in and out of as a resource as you progress in your volunteer journey.

Volunteering opportunities

There are some excellent and wide ranging opportunities to get involved in volunteering within the archery community across Scotland.  This includes coaching, volunteering with Club, Areas and/or Scottish Archery and as an Official through Judging, Tournament Organisation and Field Captains.

Volunteer recognition

Volunteers are the heroes of sport.

Without volunteers, sport in Scotland could not run the way it does and for that reason it is important to recognise the amazing work of volunteers across the country.
