Day 1  - Recurve and Longbow

First of all the Thank you to volunteers as without them these events would not happen.

To our Judges – Frank, Andrew, Simon and Megan, a massive thank you for your hard work and patience. Thank you to Ayr Archery Club for their wonderful catering and keeping us going throughout the weekend.

Due to all our results volunteers being away this weekend we did not use Ianseo . Instead, Malcolm had been working hard on his own programme.

Weather for the day was a little mixed. When the sun was out it was rather warm but the occasional shower brought us back to reality!

The ranking round went without any hitches with archers battling it out for their  head-to-head placings.

Top placed Male recurve archer, Joshua Phillips commanded a 16 point lead with and impressive 632 score. Stuart Padley continues his path to becoming a Paralympic archer by increasing his PB by 25 points.

Male compound was contested between James Ross and Kyle Scott with only two points in it. James took the number 1 spot with 666.

One of our visitors, Ben Ledwick took the Male longbow top spot by a sizeable 40 point lead and in the female longbow, Sandie continued her form becoming first with a staggering lead of 144 points.

The afternoon was Head-to-Heads, which saw some one arrow shoot offs. The closest contended was between David Killin and William Anderson. Both archers shot a 6 but within millimeters of each other!
