Sports Leaders in South Lanarkshire leading the way!

27 Oct 2025

By Carina Sheldon, SLLC Active Schools Coordinator

‘Sports Leaders at Trinity High in Rutherglen recently participated in a successful leadership input from Robert at Scottish Archery. They were taught how to play and also some fun activities that can be used to engage younger pupils in the game.

As a result of this leadership input, Trinity High now have a Soft Archery club which runs during lunchtime for S1 pupils. There are young sports leaders who lead the sessions each week for this group of pupils.

This could not happen without the support from Scottish Archery who have helped train the leaders and have given them the necessary equipment to use.

We look forward to building on this opportunity for pupils at Trinity high in the coming months.’
