We would like to wish our Scotland Team best of luck this weekend as they travel down to Macclesfield to compete in the Home Nations Outdoor Championships. Have a great time saltires and give it your best shot!

Following our recent selection process, we are proud to announce our Scotland Team for the upcoming Home Nations Outdoor Championships being held at New Century Bowmen near Macclesfield on 16th & 17th August.
With an increase in applications over 2024, this was a highly competitive process and has yielded a team that blends youth and experience with a number of new archers earning their first cap and able to wear the coveted Saltire shirt.
The squad, sponsored by JustGo and CGI, comprises 3 archers and a reserve in each of 6 categories, with the Saltires team taking on England, Wales and a combined Nations Reserve team, which will be made up from unused reserves from the three nations. All archers will have an equal shot at individual and team medals, with the trophy awarded to the Nation gaining most points across the competition. Our team will be captained by Robyn Geddes, an experienced National archer and natural leader among her peers.
Scotland Team Manager, Ainsley Ward said, “It’s been great to see how a number of our archers have progressed since last year’s selection, with team members coming from every corner of Scotland and some renewing their connection with the homeland. We learned a lot from last year and will apply that in Macclesfield, before hosting the Cup competition ourselves in Scotland in 2026, hopefully as defending champions!”
Spectators are very welcome to attend and cheering for our Scottish archers is strongly encouraged. Saturday qualifiers are followed by Head-to-Head competitions on the Sunday followed by presentation of the Home Nations Cup.

As part of increased transparency on selection, the table below shows all of the applicants and their average score across those submitted. There will be another chance to gain a place in the Scotland Team in the Autumn as we put together a representative for the Home Nations Cup -Indoors, which will be held during the Archery GB National Indoor Championships at the NAEC Stoneleigh on Friday 5th December, with live streaming on YouTube.
Prospective archers are advised that this process will be based on WA18 scores accumulated during 2025, with a few competitions such as Prestwick St Cuthbert’s UKRS WA18 and the Whitburn 2.4k happening ahead of the deadline.
