READY STEADY SHOOT (RSS)

Ready Steady Shoot (RSS) has been designed to provide a structured, enjoyable, and accessible introduction to Archery through Soft Archery. The programme supports new participants by:

• Developing fundamental archery skills in a fun and supportive environment

• Building confidence and encouraging continued participation

• Creating clear pathways into local archery clubs

• Supporting progression into coaching, volunteering, and competition where appropriate

• Helping clubs and partners engage a wider range of participants

For local authorities and community sport partners, Ready Steady Shoot offers an opportunity to:

• Increase participation in physical activity and sport

• Support health and wellbeing outcomes within communities

• Provide an inclusive activity suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities

• Strengthen connections between local communities and archery clubs

• Contribute to wider sport and physical activity development objectives
