Well done to all the Scottish archers competing at the Archery GB Youth Festival 2025.Â
The is the ideal event for any youth archers who are on, or aiming for, NTDP and Pathway squads, as well as those working towards one day making the GB team.
Archery GB have played host the annual four-day Youth Festival tournament held at the Lilleshall National Sporting Centre since 2014. The goal of the event is to simulate the running of international junior events, much like at European Cups and European Championships. For the archers in attendance, they will have the opportunity to experience what attending one of these international events would be like.Â
Best of luck to all the archers for the remainder of the festival.
Scotland U21 Team Manager, Keith Radigan shared his reflections so far:
'‘The performance from the archers yesterday would make any team manager proud during qualification all archers had there battles as it was windy but towards the end all archers found there aim and confidence to see them all shooting while being happy and listening to me and Lucy they were great. They then shot team head to heads which some of our archers sat out as they have slight injuries to save them self’s for home nations.
We then got to the home nations, I watched every single Scottish archer put their heart into each and every single arrow to the point every Scottish team in each category medalled and we placed second overall and lost out of 1st by a point but shay and Kristin got silver, Zac and Sarah got Bronze, Cairn and Olivia got bronze and William and Kaitlyn got gold I’ve never been so proud of all the archers''
Also special mention to Scotland's William Anderson who is going for the clean sweep of Golds when he takes to the stage to compete in the Men's U21 Barebow at 5pm - good luck.
