Recently sportscotland launched the Find Your Team campaign in partnership with SAMH and Young Scot, highlighting the role that sport and physical activity can play in building social connection and reducing feelings of isolation.
As we settle into new routines after the busy summer months, it is a great time to join a new sports club or activity group, connect with others and #FeelPartOfSomething!
So, whether you’re looking to try out a sport for the very first time, join a club or find a local walking group, there is a team out there for you!
Finding a Club: There are so many ways to get active with other people, you could join a local walking or jogging group, or reconnect with a team sport you used to do. Or this could be a chance to try something completely different that looks fun! There’s a group out there for everyone, so take the opportunity to find what works for you. If you’re not sure where to start or feel nervous about trying a new activity, check out our top tips.
If you are looking for specific archery opportunities to get started, visit our Club Finder here.
Get your club involved:Â Local clubs and activities can encourage people to sign up by making time for an informal chat before or after sessions. It can be helpful to tell the stories of people who have made friends through joining your club.
