Round Up: 2024 P&K Outdoor Disability Archery Championships

We’ve had a fantastic day at our Perth & Kinross Disability Sport Archery Championships where we welcomed archers from across Scotland to Gannochy Sports Pavilion with Perth Archery Club, Scottish Disability Sport and Scottish Archery.

It was brilliant to see so many top class archers compete alongside archers of all abilities with some just starting their journey in the sport.

Thanks to all the competitors, family and friends who came along to cheer on our archers and to Sue Thomson and the wonderful team at Perth Archery club and wider Archery community for their warm welcome and looking after us all throughout the day.

Bernie Van der Heijt of Lethen Archers commented on the success of the day:

''Although walking away with a medal, the real prize was the insight of disability archery in action. I learned a lot from observing and talking to fellow competitors.

This experience, I will take back to Lethen Archery Club and AUAC where my coaching sessions are taking place.
