Scottish Tour Finals coming to Glamis Castle

8 Jun 2026

Scottish Archery is thrilled to announce that the Scottish Tour Finals 2026 will take place at Glamis Castle on 19th September.

Glamis Castle has played a huge role throughout history. Home to James V of Scotland during the 16th century, and more recently, the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, Glamis’ rich heritage and beautiful grounds will help to build a solid foundation for Scottish Archery’s most prestigious event.

Fiona Hirst, Scottish Archery’s Events Officer and Event Director said:

“Over the past few years, Scottish Archery has worked incredibly hard to raise the standard and profile of competitive archery across the country. By working collaboratively with a range of organisations and partners, we are delighted to have secured Glamis Castle as the home of the Tour Finals for the next few years.

We wanted to create something truly special for our athletes - an occasion that not only rewards performance but also delivers a high-level competitive experience in a unique and iconic setting. Events like this help prepare our archers for the opportunities that may lie ahead, including the potential Commonwealth Games in India in 2030.

This partnership with Glamis Castle and their Estates team  is an exciting step forward for Scottish Archery and a reflection of the ambition we have for the sport moving into the future."

Curtis Hirst, Scottish Tour Finals Producer and Sports Delivery Consultant said:

“For many archers, Glamis is an annual venue in the archery calendar with Lochside Bowmen. With the kind permission of the Earl of Strathmore, the matchplay will take place directly in front of the castle. With its beautiful grounds, we hope that this venue will provide archers with a great shooting experience alongside the pressures of an international matchplay environment. A lot of work has gone in to making this possible and we are so excited to be finally sharing this news with everyone.”

Watch out for further updates.
