Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week 2023 is here!

at Scottish archery we are proud to support Scotland's biggest women & girls team this week & beyond

Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week launched on 2nd October and is running until Sunday 8th October. This year has kicked off with a campaign film featuring Footballer Leanne Crichton, a Scotland International Player with 72 caps, who encourages all women and girls to get involved. 

Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week 2023 RecapThe Week aims to inspire and support every woman and girl in Scotland to get active. It doesn't matter who they are or what their ability, all women and girls can get involved. It also looks to highlight the physical, mental and social benefits that getting active and participating in sport or physical activity can bring.

This annual campaign led by Active Scotland is now in its seventh year and is firmly established as a highly recognisable campaign supported by sportscotland, Scottish Governing Bodies, Active Schools and wider key partners, engaging and building content around the Week. This year the Week provides an opportunity to celebrate inclusion, whilst continuing to promote the visibility and participation of women and girls in sport and physical activity. It also looks to highlight the many physical, mental and social benefits that getting active can bring.
