Last years U21 programme was extremely successful due to the engagement of the young athletes and also the hard work of the volunteers on the management group. Thanks to everyone that contributed and assisted with all the fundraising and sponsorship.
The programme will continue this year and we look forward to working with as many young athletes as possible.
The format for this year will be similar to the senior programme in that there will be a hybrid approach.
For face to face days the West Area are taking the lead for hosting and delivering sessions. Even if you are unable to physically be at these sessions there are opportunities to engage with parts of the day virtually.
The U21 Pathway Academy has a whatsapp group for athletes and parents where information is shared regularly and being a part of this is really important for aspiring athletes, even if you don’t manage to engage with the other elements of the programme.
The final part to the programme is the competitions that the U21s attend such as Junior National Indoors/Outdoors, Junior Archery Series and the Youth Festival. The atmosphere created by Scottish squads at these events is excellent and we would love to have even more Scottish archers in attendance.
If you are already part of the programme and want to continue then you don’t need to do anything, you will already be included.
