Youth festival Day 4

Day Four Thursday 4th August 2023

The first day of finals matches with Connie Clinch attending her first Youth Festival and qualifying to shoot in the Gold Barebow Youth Team match alongside Evie Finnegan & Rachael Vallis as team Lenny. A superb match from Connie successfully achieving Gold.

Hannah Wells shot in the Recurve U21 Gold Medal Team match and achieved Silver whilst having to deal with a timing system malfunction during the shoot.

In the Recurve U21 Men Team Gold Medal match Joshua Phillips and Shay Boyd shot against fellow Scotland Team member Luke Wheeler. This was an extremely close match ending in a shoot off with Luke shooting a fantastic X10 to secure the match. Artur Pacut receiving Bronze. Luke Wheeler also took Bronze in the U21 Mixed Team category.

Kathleen Morgan collected a Bronze medal for U21 Women’s Team match which was shot on Day 3. Bronze medals were also awarded to Lucy Coutts for U18 Mixed Team and Women’s Team.

In the compound match Finlay Clark shot in both the Compound Youth Men and Mixed Team event.  Finlay battled against the changing wind conditions to achieve Gold in both categories.

Silver = 6

Bronze = 7
