Scottish Archery and Scottish Fencing delivered a one-day Coaching Conference at the Stirling Court Hotel, part of University of Stirling for 2025.
Following feedback gathered from last year, we decided to try a one day (instead of two days previously) and to just focus on coaching. We had 27 attendees across both sports on the day.
Our Coaching Conference aimed to give coaches, volunteers and sport enthusiasts the opportunity to come together to learn, share, network, feel inspired and more knowledgeable & confident across various topics.
Feedback has found that people value this approach of linking cross sport, and there is still definitely room to further develop this in the future.
There is also still space for sports-only sessions between coaches of sports, something that will be taken on board for future planning.
