26 May 2026

The sun was shining on Saturday when the Royal Company of Archers participated in the world's oldest sporting competition at Musselburgh Racecourse.

Thanks to all who participated in or watched this year's shoot for the Silver Arrow.

Tom Scott won the event. He was presented with the silver arrow by East Lothian's Provost Councillor John McMillan and Captain George Burnet.

The company paraded through the town led by Preston Lodge Pipe Band along with councillors, air cadets, sea cadets and local scouts.
