For the third year in a row, York Archery Society played host to this stage of the Junior Archery Series. The club ran the first ever JAS event back in 2023, and it’s incredibly special to see archers returning to compete, as well as those who are competing in the tournament for the first time.
The archers faced some changeable weather conditions throughout the duration of the day, including heat and winds in the afternoon, making it a challenging yet equally fun day of competition.
Well done to all the of Scottish archers:
Zac Ibrahim – Recurve U18 Men with a score of 538 reaching semi-finals in the head-to-heads and winning 6-4 in 3rd/4th playoff to take the Bronze medal
Kaitlyn Mason – Barebow Youth Women with a score of 407 reaching quarter finals stage
Cairn Boyd – Compound Youth Men scored 511 moving into 3rd in the overall standings
Olivia Kendal – Compound Youth Women scored 653 and in taking Silver in a close Gold Medal match
Izzy Killin – Compound Youth Women fought hard and is sitting 9th in JAS standings
