Newly qualified AGB Level 1 Session Coaches in East of Scotland

It’s official: we have a whole new squad of qualified coaches! Huge well done to everyone who passed their Archery GB Level 1 on Saturday at Sight Scotland Veterans Linburn Centre. Watch out beginners, these guys are ready to help you hit the gold!

We are currently planning our next set of Level 1 and 2 courses for the new season.

Format: 8 x 2 hour online sessions (16 hours) followed by two practical in-person full days

Description: Archery GB’s Session Coach course prepares learners to deliver engaging sessions for beginners. You’ll learn how to design and deliver a beginner’s course, the most popular way for archery clubs to welcome new members, and gain a recognised qualification which makes you stand out from people doing informal coaching and instructing

Locations: We typically run these in each of the Areas (North - Montrose/Aberdeen, West - Paisley, East - Edinburgh)

Cost: £280

Subsidy: Scottish Archery do offer a subsidy (covering up to 50% of course costs) for those who meet the criteria, more information coming through

• Archery GB Level 2 Development Coach course (more information here)

Format: 4 x 2 hour online sessions (8 hours) followed by five practical in-person full days

Description: You’ll learn how to develop new archers through designing and delivering learning to help people continue their archery journey beyond their initial beginner’s experience. Lack of support following a beginner’s course is one of the biggest reasons people leave a new sport. With your help you can encourage people to grow their skills and stay part of the archery community.

Locations: We typically run one of these courses once per year in a central location, depending on
