Report: AGB National Tour - Stage 1

5 May 2025

By James Ross

A week ago a group of Scottish archers ventured south to compete in the First stage of the Archery GB National Tour: Bucks & Bounty at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

Well done to the archers that took part, especially to Nathan MacQueen MBE and Findlay Clark who finished 7th and 9th in the compound men tour rankings.

Also shout out performances to Shay Boyd who had a good run in the head to heads and was put out after a very close match against the Olympian Conor Hall. Cameron Radigan who qualified 10th in the recurve men's division. William Anderson qualified 6th in barebow men’s reaching 1/16 in knockout after close match losing 6-2.

James Ross, Director of Systems who was competing shared his thoughts on the event:

'It was really good to take part in my first AGB Tour stage. It's always good to see so many Scottish archers taking part and doing so well in the national competition circuit.'

Great effort from all archers travelling from Scotland in a competitive line-up across all the disciplines. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all the archers best of luck who are competing at Stage 2 at Woking Archery Club on 17th & 18th May
