The 2026 Scottish Archery Tour Finals were held at Glamis Castle on 19 September 2026, bringing together the top performers from the season's Scottish Tour stages in a finals format designed to mirror elite international matchplay competition.
The event marked the first Tour Finals at the historic Angus venue and formed part of a wider family sport festival featuring beginner archery activities and a special appearance from Paralympic champion Nathan Macqueen MBE. This also included our second Ready Steady Shoot Festival providing opportunities for children and families to try soft archery. We also had Lasswade Archery Club providing archery activity, Links Archers hosting a Bow Exhibition Stall showcasing different types of bows/equipment and Horse Scotland providing some horseback archery!
The finals were staged on the grounds directly in front of Glamis Castle, creating a spectacular backdrop for our premier domestic competition. Hosting at this venue acts as a key step in raising the profile and standard of competitive archery in Scotland.
Despite facing challenging and windy weather conditions that forced the archers to adapt, the event saw some remarkable competitive performances.

Event Results Manager Curtis Hirst shared his reflections from the day:
‘‘This was a very solid start to the revamped Scottish Tour Finals. Despite the challenging conditions, we managed to put on a great showcase of Scottish talent to fellow competitors and the general public. This year, we changed and formalised many aspects of the Scottish Tour Finals to make it akin to what you would see at National and International events of the same nature. We now have a great foundation to build on next year. Thank you to all the event staff, volunteers, judges and spectators who made the day special’’
Of course, a big thank you to the magnificent Volunteers and Judging Teams as per, for putting on another fantastic event!
