At the Lilleshall Youth Festival, our Under-21 Scotland team competed in a highly competitive Home Nations event this year as part of Archery GB’s 2026 Youth Festival – Junior Archery Series (JAS) Stage 5.
There were some fantastic matches, and every archer came away with valuable experience and areas to work on. While not everyone achieved the results they had hoped for, they all shot brilliantly and performed well enough to secure an overall 3rd-place finish in a very tight competition.
Wales 13, England 10, Scotland 9, NI 8
Every archer approached each match with a smile, a laugh, and great team spirit. It was fantastic to see them enjoying the experience while representing Scotland with pride.
Keith Radigan, Under-21 Scotland Team Manager:
“I couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them who pulled on the Scotland shirt. You could see that every arrow they shot wasn’t just for themselves—it was for Scotland. They battled through the challenging wind and left everything they had out on the field.
Every year I become even prouder as this team continues to develop, and that progress is reflected in their shooting. They should all be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this talented group of archers.”
Best of luck to everyone in the individual matches, taking place just now.
