At the end of September, I represented East Of Scotland Archery - "The Eastern Area" in the Archery GB National County Championship for the first time. I am immensely proud of this weekend, both for myself and for our county!
Day 1: I finished 10th in the ranking round and then our Barebow Women’s Team shot well through to the quarter finals. It was my first time shooting in a team with Katherine Lamont and Kayleigh Ivanov but they were great fun all day!
Day 2: I was LOCKED IN for the ranking round, shooting a Personal Best score to finish in 6th position. The afternoon saw the Mixed Team matches, and although I was hoping to get through to the semi-finals with William Anderson, our ends against Leicestershire were only a couple points behind when we lost 6-2.
I’ve really enjoyed the team competitions this summer. There’s nothing like that post-competition buzz, with a mix of pride and adrenaline after giving it everything with your team.
The competition marked the end of the outdoor season, which was quite bittersweet as I absolutely love outdoors.
I managed to get 5 scores out of the required 6 to achieve the Master Bowman ranking for this season, though my last score was a Grand Master Bowman score and a new Scottish Record, meaning I am very excited to see what the indoor season and the next outdoor one have in store for me!

What a busy month it has been for University of St Andrew’s Archery Club, Sharon Pisani. Its pleasing to see that she has had an enjoyable outdoor season and most recently being part of the Eastern Area - great effort and thanks for sharing!
It sounds like Sharon has found her fit!
