We are delighted to introduce our next Club Development Webinar which, is on Fundraising Strategies for Archery Clubs. The session will take place online, 7:00-8:00pm on Thursday 26th March and will be delivered by Dr Andrew Jenkin from Club Development Consultancy.
This session is free of charge for Scottish Archery members and is ideal for club leaders, volunteers and committee members.
Fundraising Strategies for Archery Clubs
This webinar will explore practical and realistic fundraising ideas tailored specifically to archery and community sports clubs.
While the focus is on fundraising strategies, we will also touch on how Gift Aid, grant funding and pro bono partnerships can strengthen your overall income plan.
In this webinar we will:
Engage Your Community
In this webinar, we will explore how to create fundraising activities that people genuinely want to support, rather than feeling obliged to contribute to. We will discuss how to embed fundraising into your club culture so it becomes a normal and positive part of club life, and how to communicate your club’s impact clearly and confidently so members, parents and the wider community understand why their support matters.
Build Repeatable Income
We will look at how to move beyond one-off events and develop more reliable, repeatable income streams. This includes turning competitions, open days and regular club activities into fundraising opportunities, and creating a simple fundraising calendar that provides structure without overwhelming volunteers.
Develop Partnerships
The session will cover how to approach local businesses strategically and present partnership opportunities in a way that offers genuine value. We will focus on building long-term relationships rather than one-off sponsorship arrangements, and briefly explore corporate and digital fundraising platforms that can widen your reach.
Think Strategically About Income
Finally, we will consider how to diversify income beyond membership fees and take a more strategic approach to financial planning. This includes using Gift Aid and grants appropriately, accessing free tools and pro bono support, and developing a realistic 12–24 month income plan for your club.
You will leave with a clearer fundraising strategy, practical ideas you can implement immediately, and greater confidence in planning for long-term financial sustainability.
