Today Robert went along to Big Sports Day held at Saughton Sports Complex in Edinburgh organised by Active Schools Edinburgh.
The aim of the event was to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all pupils, allowing them to try new sports and find out about clubs they can access in the community. A total of 17 different ASN schools attended with 142 young people taking part in different sports.
Reflecting on the day Robert said:

''The children loved the soft archery and thanks a lot to Adelle Fleming from Lasswade Archery Club for attending and helping out with the delivery.
It was so pleasing to see the success and enjoyment the pupils. Being outdoors, the sun was out adding to the enjoyment of the day''
It was a great networking event and many schools are looking to get soft archery in as part of there curriculum.''
We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with Active Schools Edinburgh in the future and being involved in further opportunities to allow pupils to experience archery.
Active Schools aims to provide more and higher quality opportunities to take part in sport and physical activity before school, during lunchtime and after school, and to develop effective pathways between schools and sports clubs in the local community.
