Member Benefits

Being a member of the governing body provides clubs with extensive development support, including training for committee members, guidance on governance, and access to templates and toolkits for policy creation. Additional support includes assistance with facility access issues, connections with community partners to enhance club memberships, signposting, and aid with funding applications. Club coaches benefit from discounts on Coach Education Courses and can utilise JustGo for managing their club database. Insurance coverage and other benefits are included with AGB membership, which can be explored further here.

We also assist clubs in meeting the minimum operating requirements for safeguarding responsibilities, such as implementing appropriate policies, conducting necessary checks for coaches and volunteers, and providing processes for reporting safeguarding concerns. We handle PVG processing and offer training and support for Club Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officers, including matters related to vulnerable adults.

Members have access to events, competitions, squad programmes, and opportunities for national representation, as well as the chance to achieve Scottish records. We are collaborating with partners to enhance individual member benefits and will keep you informed of any new offers.

By joining Scottish Archery, you will connect with and become part of our vibrant archery community. For more information, please visit the ABOUT Scottish Archery page under ‘What we do’ on our website, here. Additionally, I have attached our draft Membership sheet for further details.

Safeguarding – PVG Changes for Clubs

Over the past year, we acknowledge the substantial changes made to our membership administration, now managed through JustGo. Additionally, the PVG process for clubs has been revised, placing the responsibility for the safe recruitment of coaches and volunteers on the clubs themselves. More information on this below:
